Past Initiatives

Dear FFF,

I was in a roll over car accident in Oct of 07, where I sustained a concussion, neck and back injuries. I had been seeking treatment up until Oct of 08 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Then my Angel came through...FFF.

Thanks to all their work, love and generosity, I received a very generous donation. I was able to get caught our on all my bills, and even ahead on some. It was so the boost I needed. I am working hard at getting my body, strength and energy back and am now able to work a lot more, and fortunately I have more work these days. Had not for The FFF and their kindness, care, and concern, I do not know how I would have gotten over that hump!

Dan suffered a devastating stroke while driving his truck to work early one morning in 2007. Thanks to some amazing over the phone instruction from his wife, as well as some heads up work by law enforcement, Dan was able to pull to the side of the road and get the help he needed. Dan was initially paralyzed on half of his body and faced an uphill battle of therapy and rehabilitation.

The Fairview Friends Foundation helped to equip his home with handicap rails and helped to cover costs on a few items not covered by Dan's insurance. The Foundation also paid for a gym membership and personal trainer - ultimately the key to Dan's successful recovery. To date, Dan has made a remarkable recovery and is back to work and swinging the golf club like a pro.
